What ensues is a dangerous journey across fae infested lands to bring back the heir of one of the realm’s most powerful houses. However, Harry is technically his protege and his found family and though he’d never admit it, Min would do anything to save Harry from his own folly. Min wants to project that he’s a badass loner who only watches out for himself. *Copy provided in exchange for an honest review*Īn engaging fantasy showcasing thief Min and how he must accomplish an impossible mission, less his “nephew” Harry befall a fatal curse. I could have used more details and just more, but I was pretty happy with it just as is.Ī solid book from a great author, Anhaga is worth your time. The world-building was exciting, and I couldn't wait to find out more about the fae and the magical people. I thought the romance was well done, even if it could have been fleshed out a bit more, but what really drew me in was the story. There was nice chemistry between the two MCs, and I liked the innocence and potential of the romance. We have a bisexual MC and a virgin (yaaaassss), so that grabbed me right away, but this story isn't very explicit with the good details. However, I was surprised at how much I liked it.Īnhaga is low steam and low snark for a Lisa Henry book, so know that going into it. I'm not a fantasy reader, so I was a little reluctant to try Anhaga, mostly because I adore Lisa Henry and I hate disliking a book from one of my favorite authors. Interesting, well-done fantasy-romance from the always reliable Lisa Henry.

The Hidden Lord might see that he never gets the choice.

Min might pride himself on his cleverness, but he can’t see his way out of this one.

Saving Harry means handing Kaz over to his ruthless family. He needs to get Kaz back to Amberwich and get Harry’s curse lifted before it kills him. With the Sabadines on one side and the fae on the other, Min doesn’t have time to deal with a crisis of conscience-or the growing attraction between him and Kaz. If that wasn’t enough, Kaz is far from the simple hedgewitch he seems. When the formidable Sabadine family curses Harry, Min must accept a suicide mission to save his life: retrieve Kazimir Stone, a low-level Sabadine hedgewitch who refuses to come home after completing his apprenticeship… and who is in Anhaga, a seaside village under the control of the terrifying Hidden Lord of the fae. Aramin Decourcey-Min to his few friends-might be the best thief in Amberwich, and he might have a secret that helps him survive the cutthroat world of aristocratic families and their powerful magic users, but he does have one weakness: his affection for his adopted nephew, Harry.
