It is an interesting book to experience for me, as I spent two years living in Saudi Arabia-one in Riyadh, and one in Dammam.

Nimah writes of daily life, tradition, lovingly and tenderly of family, piously and from the soul of the beauty of Islam, but also of many problems, including male domination in Gulf society (though the strength of Arabian women is more than readily apparent as well), extremism and violence, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq. There is a wide breadth and a beautiful and sensitive depth to be found in the poetry found in this collection.
